In today's world, design is more than just looks; it also focuses on usability. This balance is especially vital in office settings, where comfort and efficiency play crucial roles. A collaboration of ours with Setter Architects led to the creation of centerpieces for Shibolet & Co., one of Israel's largest law firms. Located in a striking building in Tel Aviv, the aim of this project was to enhance the office's aesthetic appeal while providing practical solutions for its users.

Project Overview

Shibolet & Co. specializes in corporate and international commercial law. Their new office spans an impressive 9,000 square meters over seven stories. We were tasked with designing functional centerpieces for various tables throughout this space. The goal was to create centerpiece sets that are stylish yet serve practical purposes for both the staff and clients who attend meetings.

Design Inspiration

As we began the design process, aligning the centerpiece sets with the firm's branding and office decor was essential. We were asked to take inspiration from the firm's logo, focusing on a minimalist design that incorporates clean, flowing lines.

The color palette featured earthy tones, particularly shades of brown and gray. We aimed for materials that combined elegance and warmth - striking a balance between luxury and comfort.

We have conducted extensive research, exploring various materials and color options. After many tests, the chosen materials by the clients were natural Terracotta, and Basalt rocks sourced from northern Israel. These natural elements not only enhanced the office's ambiance but also established a connection to local craftsmanship.

Selection of Centerpiece Elements

After careful consideration, we finalized the selection of centerpiece products, which included:

  • A large tray for refreshments and beverages

  • Elegant vases for fresh flowers

  • Holders for pens and pencils

  • A paper holder for essential documents

Each item was carefully chosen to serve a specific function while also enhancing the overall office atmosphere.

Collaborating with local designers and manufacturers was beneficial for the clients, as it allowed us to make real-time adjustments based on feedback, ensuring that the design met the expectations of Shibolet & Co. effectively.

Emphasizing Local Materials

Using locally sourced materials was a powerful choice, as it enhanced the design's authenticity. By incorporating natural, locally sourced ceramic materials, we ensured the office had a warm, organic feel that resonated with the firm’s values.

The finished centerpieces were placed throughout the office, adding a welcoming and cozy vibe that made the workspace more enjoyable. This design integration strengthened the brand identity of Shibolet & Co. by blending natural beauty with sophisticated style.

Achieving a Cohesive Brand Identity

A crucial aspect of our design process was ensuring that the products were in line with the broader brand identity of Shibolet & Co. The minimalist style matched the modern aesthetic of their new offices while also reflecting their professional values.

The result was a collection of centerpieces that were both striking and functional. They fostered interaction between clients and staff while adding warmth and sophistication to the environment.

Reflecting on the Impact of Design

For us, as Israeli designer, designing functional and beautiful centerpieces for Shibolet & Co. was more than just creating appealing visuals. It involved a careful process that harmonized practicality with artistic expression. The collaboration with Setter Architects illustrates the impressive outcomes that can arise when design focuses on holistic approaches, local materials, and cohesive branding.

By addressing the unique needs of the firm and considering the aesthetic objectives for their office, we transformed the employee and client experience within the space. This project showcases how thoughtful design can significantly enhance any professional environment, promoting productivity while staying true to the brand's essence.
